The primary suspect in the Barrister Fahad Malik murder case was arrested on Sunday, from the Torkham border.
Sources disclosed to Geo News how the suspect named Raja Arshad, obtained a one-month visa from Afghanistan’s Quetta consulate on August 24. Before this, the suspect had been on interim transit remand till August 30. The court had cancelled his passport and placed Arshad’s name on the exit control list.
The other suspect nominated in the Fahad Malik murder case named Noman alias Nomi Khokhar was presented on Sunday at a local court in Islamabad. The suspect refused to answer any questions that were posed to him.
The court granted police a three-day physical remand of the suspect and issued instructions to have Noman’s medical check-up completed and then dispatch him to the concerned court.
Fahad Malik was the brother-in-law of London-based businessman Zulfi Bukhari, who is a close friend of PTI chairman Imran Khan. He was gunned down on August 15 outside Shalimar police station when he had gone to mediate a case between two parties, Tariq Malik and duo Raja Arshed and Nauman Khokhar.
