A clash between the supporters of Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Sunday underlined a division between the ruling party after both the leaders planned to inaugurate the same uplift scheme separately.
According to Geo News, a sewage line was inaugurated by Abid Sher Ali who said this scheme was completed by a local government representative having elected with his support.
Punjab Law Minister Sanaullah, a close aide of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, was also all set to inaugurate the same scheme.
However, Rana Sanaullah tried to play down the issue, saying both Abid Sher Ali and he belonged to the same constituency and it was not a big deal if the scheme is inaugurated by more than one person.
The law minister and Chaudhry Sher Ali, a former PML-N MNA and father of Abid Sher Ali, embroiled in a controversy last year during the local government election.
Both the leaders however criticized Imran Khan and Tahiurl Qadri who took out rallies against the government in Lahore and Rawalpindi on Saturday respectively.
