Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain quit Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), due to the yesterday speech of Altaf Hussain. In which Altaf used harsh words against Pakistan.
In Ary News program “Off The Record with Kashif Abbasi”, Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain announced that he is leaving mqm. Because of what the leader of the party said yesterday.
From now onwards I am not a member of MQM,” Aamir told media, adding that he has been under pressure since yesterday and he cannot bear it any further.
He also advised MQM chief Altaf Hussain to part ways with the politics.
“If Altaf Hussain doesn’t have control on the words he speaks, he should quit politics,” the religious scholar said.
Earlier, MQM distances itself from its head’s anti-Pakistan speech with the veteran leader Farooq Sattar said that the party would now be run and controlled from Karachi.
“MQM dissociates itself from yesterday’s speeches, strongly condemns it and regrets if it has hurt the sentiments of the people of Pakistan,” Sattar said while addressing a press conference.
“We also strongly condemn the incitement to violence. We categorically denounce it as torture is not part of MQM’s dictionary,” he said.
