National Bank of Pakistan(NBP), Telenor Pakistan and Telenor Microfinance Bank will promote the financial inclusion in the country.
The meeting held among the National Bank of Pakistan, Telenor Pakistan, and Telenor Microfinance Bank and signed the agreement. The meeting held at the local hotel in Islamabad. According to the agreement, these will promote the financial inclusion in Pakistan.
The signed between the Mr Saeed Ahmad – President & CEO NBP, Mr Irfan Wahab – CEO Telenor Pakistan and Mr Yahya Khan – CFIO & CDO Telenor Microfinance Bank. Mr Mudassir H. Khan – SEVP/Group Chief CRBG, Mr Azfar Jamal – EVP/Head – Payment Services, Mr Khawaja Asif – COO Telenor Microfinance Bank and Mr Rehan Akhter – Head of FS Karandaaz and other delegates presence during the agreement.
According to the Agreement, Telenor will fulfil the needs of the bank with Telenor USSD Channel, Financial banking system Easypaisa. They also facilitate with P2G and G2P transactions. After the signing ceremony, the president and CEO of NBP, Mr Saeed Ahmad said that National Bank will facilitate and promote financial inclusion by technologies and data. The combining strength of TP and TMBL together will achieve the State Bank’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
Moreover, the group chief CRBG, National Bank of Pakistan, Mr Mudassir H. Khan stated that,
