“Daddy”, a biopic on hoodlum turned-lawmaker Arun Gawli, hits screens Friday before the discharge not long from now of a film about the notorious sister of Dawood Ibrahim, India’s most needed man. Shooting for a third criminal motion picture, featuring Bollywood geniuses Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan, will begin one year from now.
For “Daddy” chief Ashim Ahluwalia, influencing a film about a previous mafia to manager as of now serving life in jail for the murder of a neighborhood councilor was a touch of threatening. “It is, however Gawli is a more established man now, past his prime and we have made the film with his family’s assent. I wouldn’t have done it else,” he told AFP.
