Court give Imran Khan 21 august date to respond in shahbaz defamation suit

A Session Court today issued a second  notice to the Pakistan Tahreek i Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran khan on a ruppes 10 billion suit for damages filed by Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif under defamation ordinance 2002. Additional  District and Session judge Azfar sultan sought a response from khan while  issuing him a notice for August 21.           The suit filed through adocate Mustafa Ramday states that Imran khan in April last stated a false and malicious statement against the Shahbaz Sharif, that the latter offered Rs10 billion to the former through a common friend exchange of withdrawing the case of Panama papers pending with the supreme court. It say that Shahbaz Sharif sent a legal notice to Imran khan to make an apology with in 14 days.  However Imram khan failed to make an apology, so the Shahbaz Sharif approach the court for recovery.                                    Responding to the defamation suit, khan said earlier this month that he doesn’t own Rs10 billion,and will ask Shahbaz Sharif sons salman and Hamza for a loan since “all children in sharif family have somehow become billioner”
