Inaugration of Chashma III Nuclear Power plant of 340MW by Prime Minister

Mr. Nawaz Sharif and Mr. khawaja Asif, the Minister of water and Power and Mr,Sartaj Aziz, the Advisor on Foriegn Affairs were altogether on the eve of power plant inauguration.

A commission of PAEC  (Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission) has made in collaboration with CNNC( China National Nuclear Corporation). International Atomic Energy Agency has presented guidelines for this project.

Prime Minister did appreciate the struggle of  China Atomic Energy Authority  and presented his congratulations to PAEC to complete the project in the given time frame work

He repeated his promise to end load shedding from the country till the end of 2018.

The new Chashma-III, 340 MW power plant was inaugurated today at Mianwali by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Nuclear Power Plants to Add 8,800 MW by 2030

It is the the third project after the projects of Chashma-I and Chashma-II.Chashma -IV will be done in 2017. Hopefully  the  Karachi Nuclear Power Projects K-2 and K-3 and the Chashma power plants will contribute a whole power of 8,800MW to this national frame work. PAEC has set its target to complete all these projects till 2030.

Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority has approved all these nuclear power plants. The International Atomic Energy Agency has few directions to be followed by all nuclear power plants.

More CPEC Power Projects Underway
This is just one of the many power projects undertaken by the government in collaboration with China under the CPEC agreement. Most are expected to start operating by late 2018. All of the CPEC power projects will collectively add close to 7,000 MW of power to the national grid.

This project stands among  one of the power projects  handled by the government in cooperation with China  Under the agreement of CPEC. It is expected to work till the end of 2018. It is also expected that all these projects will contribute in adding power of  around 7,000MW to the national framework.
