Journey from Presidential Palace to National Library: Palestine

President Mahmud Abbas and his desperate organization had confronted inquiries over the development of the $17.5 million royal residence, which was at first proposed as a presidential central station and area where remote dignitaries could be gotten. Abbas has now chosen to change the 4,700-square-meter complex into a Palestinian national library, culture serve Ehab Bessaiso told AFP.

The complex sits on around 27,000 square meters of land. “The president trusts the royal residence ought to be utilized for open advantage by transforming it into a colossal national library managed by a leading body of trustees,” said Mohammed Shtayyeh, leader of the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR).
