Pakistan Test skipper Misbah ul Haq Sunday paid glowing tributes to Younis Khan, calling him a ‘champion batsman and all-time great’.
Younis, who was given man-of-the-match, scored superb double century which was the centrepiece of Pakistan’s first-innings 542 all out.
It was the 38-year-old’s sixth innings of scoring 200 or more in Test cricket.
“Younis is Champion batsman, all-time great you could say and that is why is he is at the top. A champion knock, flawless inning, totally calculated, he know the situation how to just go about and how it really gives the team an initiative to just go and win the game,” Misbah told Michael Atherton.
Commenting on his double tons, Younis Khan said: “As a senior player I always want to contribute. That’s why it was on the right time.”
